Products that last

As confident as we are in our own cycling expertise - we feel just as confident with the Swedish subcontractors we have hired for Velopark. And if there's one thing Sweden knows, it's classic workshop production. And no-one questions the quality of the steel or the dense Swedish pine. Our ambition with Velopark is simply to manufacture products that last and that have their roots exclusively in Sweden. Because we believe in it!

Underframe

Our undercarriages are made of steel and are designed to withstand significantly higher loads than cyclists normally do. The underframes are treated with a double layer of paint and achieve C3 corrosion protection as standard. When placed in particularly exposed environments, for example if they are expected to be exposed to salt water regularly, an additional corrosion protection in the form of hot-dip galvanizing can be added before painting.

In its basic version, the base is delivered with a black lacquer, but it is possible to choose customer-specific colors.

Yoke area

We work exclusively with Swedish dense pine for the riding surface. The thickness is double what is actually required and each board is neatly beveled in the end grain. For the best grip in bad weather, the width of each board is also narrower than normal. This results in more air gaps and edges, which, in combination with the unplaned surface, provide a better grip.

Anchoring to the ground

Our modules can be placed directly on gravel, on buried joists, with ground screws or in molded plinths. Our feet also make it possible to add adjustable rubber feet if the modules are to be placed on asphalt or concrete.

Driveway plate

A 5-millimeter thick aluminum tread plate increases grip on the tires and is not affected by direct contact with organic material in any form. The driveway plate is screwed into a dedicated bracket.

It is also possible to build our modules without a driveway plate and let the gravel go against the first board.
