Maintenance
All Velopark products are built on very high quality materials for maximum lifespan and minimal maintenance. The strength of both the undercarriage and the riding surface is designed for much higher loads than what cycling requires.
Ongoing maintenance
- Check that the modules are stable against the surface and that the running surface is intact.
- Check that the driveway plates have full contact with the ground, this applies especially if the surface consists of gravel. For hardened surfaces, the screw connections between the plates and the surface must be checked.
- Velopark uses steel in corrosivity class C3, which is suitable for outdoor environments. In order to obtain full corrosion protection, damage to the paint caused by mechanical impact - eg impact or scratch damage - must be remedied immediately by cleaning the damaged area and filling in with lacquer paint.
Once a year
- Ensure that all undercarriages are straight and with consistent ground contact at all attachment points. If the modules are screwed to a hardened surface, the bolts must be checked.
Check that the running surface, consisting of wood, fits tightly against the undercarriage through the screw connections.
If the riding surface, consisting of wood, is muddy, the boards should be rinsed or swept clean to reduce any growth. The surface can be treated with wood oil.
Check for possible mechanical abrasion of the riding surface, consisting of wood, so that the wood is intact.
Teeter Totter
- The construction is suspended around a joint with machine bearings and grease nipples. Top up with grease once a year.
