Groundwork and fixing of modules<\/h1>\n

Velopark modules can be mounted freestanding, semi-permanent or permanently to the substrate depending on your needs.<\/p>\n\t

For best durability over time, we recommend that Velopark bicycle playgrounds are built according to the construction standard in Mark-AMA from Svensk Byggtj\u00e4nst corresponding to “graveled G \/ C road in a park environment”. The Velopark modules are then fixed to cast concrete slabs that rest on the substructure. If extra fall protection is required, this is added after the modules have been installed. <\/strong><\/p>\n\t

When the modules are mounted on a hard surface, rubber washers should always be used closest to the ground, both to compensate for minor deviations in the substrate and to keep the bases free from mechanical abrasion. At least once a year, all screws and bolts should be checked to ensure that there is no gap between the modules and the ground.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"barlager-och-betongplatta\n\t

Example ground preparation for permanent installation in public spaces<\/h4>\n

    Reinforcement layer, Rock crusher 0-63, 260 mm<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Unbound base course, crushed rock 0-16, 60 mm<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Wear bearing, Rock crusher 0-4 mm, 120 mm<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Concrete slab, 100 mm, reinforcement if necessary. Alternatively, Velopark monterinsfot is used<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Fall protection (optional), Bark or wood chips, 50-100 mm<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Total structure excl. fall protection, 440 mm<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Concrete slab width 500-1 000 mm depending on the module width<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Permanent fixing of modules to concrete slab<\/h2>\n

    This is the most stable and durable method of attaching Velopark modules.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"betong_0\n\t

    Cast concrete slab according to AMA. For smaller park installations, full concrete slab can be cast, otherwise precast slabs are recommended under the respective Velopark feature.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"betong_1\n\t

    Position the module and mark for drill holes<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"betong_2\n\t

    Drill holes in concrete with an 8 mm drill bit<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"betong_3\"\n\t

    Installing plugs<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"betong_4\"\n\t

    Place the module in position. One or two rubber washers are used between the module and the concrete slab to compensate for minor deviations in the substrate and to keep the substructures free from mechanical abrasion.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"betong_5\n\t

    Screw the module in place. When all the modules are assembled, the concrete slab is covered with stone dust, bark or similar so that the screw is also hidden.<\/p>\n\t

    Permanent fixing of modules on paved surface<\/h2>\n

    Velopark modules can be placed and fixed directly to the paved surface.<\/p>\n\t

    Direct mounting with self-drilling screw<\/strong><\/p>\n

    If the asphalt is even, the module is attached directly with a self-drilling asphalt screw. Use one or more rubber washers between module and asphalt to compensate for unevenness and keep the substructure free from mechanical abrasion.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"asfalt_markskruv_2\"\n\t

    Fixing modules with adjustable screws on uneven ground<\/h2>\n

    If there are major differences in level in the asphalt, it may in some cases be appropriate to install adjustable anchor screws as shown below.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"asfalt_reglerbar_1\"\n\t

    Drill a hole in the asphalt and tap in the anchor screw.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"asfalt_reglerbar_2\"\n\t

    Position the module, adjust the nut on the anchor screw until the module is level.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"asfalt_reglerbar_3\"\n\t

    Fasten with lock nut and washer.<\/p>\n\t

    Semi-permanent attachment of modules with Velopark mounting feet<\/h2>\n

    This method provides a stable attachment, but allows the modules to be easily moved if necessary.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"mount_foot-1\"\n\t

    Mark out where the corners of the feature to be assembled will be. Dig out 20-30 cm, allowing some margin so that the foot can be moved around.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"mount_foot-2\"\n\t

    Place the mounting foot and screw on the nut.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"mount_foot-3\"\n\t

    Place the module over the threaded rod of the foot and adjust the height of the nut until the module is level.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"mount_foot-4\"\n\t

    Fill the pit with 0-4mm stone meal, water and pack. Secure with a nut from the top.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"mount_foot-5\"\n\t

    Cut the threaded rod with an angle grinder at the height of the nut.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"mount_foot-6\"\n\t
